Since 1955, this Tony Award-winning regional, summer-residency theater has been delighting audiences with productions of the highest caliber. Based on the Williams College campus, the Williamstown Theater Festival, continues to focus on producing new works, as well as well-known staples. Many of its productions, including “The Bridges of Madison County,” “The Elephant Man,” and “Hedda Gabler,” have transferred to Broadway. It’s helped launch careers of both actors and directors, while also attracting stars. Past seasons have featured Kate Burton, Bradley Cooper, Uma Thurman, Matthew Broderick, Christopher Walken, Nathan Lane, Richard Chamberlain and Olympia Dukakis.

This summer, the festival’s lineup included five world premiere’s and a production of “A Streetcar Named Desire” featuring Emmy winners Audra McDonald and Bobby Cannavelle. While any hopes of an in-person 2020 season were dashed by the coronavirus pandemic, Artistic Director Mandy Greenfield announced in April the entire 2020 season would be available on Audible. Check the festival’s website for more information about the season, which will be made available for global Audible listeners.
