Vermont Jazz Center keeps entertaining through the Web

If you don’t associate rural Vermont with world-class jazz music, you might after visiting Vermont Jazz Center. Located in the Cotton Mill — Brattleboro’s arts mecca — Vermont Jazz Center educates and entertains using music as a tool. The center hosts year-round classes, monthly concerts and weekly jam sessions, along with a robust summer workshop. Catching a concert at its 250-seat loft-style performance hall will compete with a jazz experience anywhere else in the world.

Unfortunately, though, you’ll have to wait until 2021  to hear a performance; the center doesn’t plan on reopening this summer. The music, however, will keep flowing through the center’s website, where periodic livestreams feature top jazz artists. You can also browse their archives to find past performances.
