Summer season will close without the sounds of FreshGrass Fest

Three-day bluegrass and roots music festival returns in 2021

Since its inception in 2011, FreshGrass Fest has helped close out the summer season by bringing upward of 6,000 people to Mass MoCA in North Adams at the end of September for three days of bluegrass and roots music. The festival has brought Brandi Carlile, Alison Brown, Bela Fleck and Del McCoury to its stages, alongside legends that include Mavis Staples, the Indigo Girls, and Dwight Yoakam. At the same time, the festival celebrates new and upcoming artists.

2020 was supposed to be the year the festival expanded outside of North Adams, with FreshGrass | Bentonville making its debut at The Momentary at the Crystal Bridges Museum in Bentonville, Ark. Unfortunately, both the North Adams and Bentonville shows have been canceled. FreshGrass has announced it will return to Mass MoCA Sept. 24-26, 2021.
